Professional accreditation of the hospitality education programs27.09.11

27.09.2011 was held the Round table «The field accreditation of the Hospitality Higher Education Programmes». The director General of AKKORK made a report there. The active part in the discussion took the representatives of the filed Colleges and Universities of Moscow.

Cooperation of the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers and АККОRК How to build interaction between government, colleges, business and society in the evaluation of the education quality, to make it effective and universal? Talk about this going on in recent years, and now, the Federation of Restaurateurs and Hoteliers of Russia and the Agency for Higher Education quality Assurance and career development (AKKORK) in January 2011 signed an agreement on cooperation in independent accreditation of educational programs in fields of restaurant and hotel business.

Aims of the accreditation 
  1. Enhancing professional competence of graduates of higher professional education programs in the restaurant and hospitality industry to meet the requirements of professional standards; 
  2. Formation of an effective mechanism of interaction between education institutions and representatives of the labor market on assessment and development of education quality to meet current business demands. 
  3. Creating an effective mechanism for HEI for demonstrating accountability and education quality level to stakeholders such as employers, government, students. 
  4. Forming the benchmarks (best practices) base in the education sphere and provide internal and external quality assurance of education education organizations. 
  5. Formation of information-analytical base to rate the programs in hotel and restaurant industry by employers. The higher the ranking of the college is, the more people want to study in it.
