Conference on the Tempus-Tacis Project 27.01.10

A coordinating conference on the Tempus-Tacis Project was held at the University of Genoa (Italy) from January 18th to 21st. The project is aimed at creating a master’s program “Technologies in Water Resources Management”.

Project aims:

to create a higher professional education network on master’s programs for water resources management;

to reform curricula and academic cooperation among Russian and EU higher educational institutions on technological issues connected with environmental protection;

to retrain specialists in academic and practical spheres.

Within the framework of the project a consortium of 11 universities and a number of organizations was founded. The AQA joined the project as the leading Russian agency on independent evaluation and quality assurance of the master’s program at all stages of its development. The AQA mainly evaluates and assures the quality of the master’s program at all stages of its development. In the coordinating meeting together with their partners from the University of Genoa there were representatives from the universities that participate in the project: Slovak University of Technology (Slovakia), Middlesex University (Great Britain), official representatives from Province of Genoa, the “AMGA” company (Italy), as well as Russian HEIs, enterprises and organizations: the AQA, MSTU, Moscow State University of Land Use Planning, Ural and Tambov State Technical Universities, Vladimir State University. The implementation of 2010 project events was discussed.
